Volunteer

We are so excited that you’re interested in volunteering and serving at New Heart!  God uniquely created you to make a difference in your community.  Activate your faith by serving and loving those around you.
There are several ways you can get involved at New Heart…
  • You can contact the ministry leader or staff member responsible for the area you’re interested in by going to the Contact Us tab on this site and sending him/her an e-mail.
  • You can fill out a yellow COMMUNICATION CARD on a Sunday morning indicating the area(s) you’re interested in and drop it in the offering bucket, and someone will contact you.
  • You can drop by the INFORMATION TABLE on a Sunday morning.  The ministry leader will then schedule a time for you to come and check out how that ministry operates in real time.

Here are just a few of the ministry teams you can join to begin serving and loving our community.

AdventureLand Kids & Path Finders  - There is a wide variety of ways you can serve in the children's ministry!  Whether you are good at computers, welcoming parents, teaching stories, doing crafts, playing games or just having fun, there is a place for you to serve!!  For more information, contact Julie Luken.

Hospitality Team - If you love smiling, talking, serving refreshments and decorating then consider serving on the Hospitality Team!  For more information, contact Debbie Freeman and connect with the team and stay up to date on Facebook at the Hospitality Group!

Set-Up & Tear Down Teams - If you love joking around, listening to music, getting up early (yes, some people actually love early mornings) and like to start your day with a little physical activity, then you should definitely join the Set-Up Team.  The Set-up team gets together Sunday mornings at 7:30 am and transform the Activity Center gym into a place of worship.  If you just can't manage to make out of the house that early, consider serving on the Tear Down Team, which breaks down and stores all of the equipment as soon as the church service is over.  Everyone is welcome!  For more information, email the church office or talk to someone putting equipment away Sunday morning!

Media Team - If you are skilled with computers, multi-media presentation software, or want to learn, then you should consider joining the Media Team.  For more information, contact Mike Robertson.

Welcome Team - If you love smiling and greeting people as they get to church, then the Welcome Team would be perfect for you.  For more information, email the church office.

Please, note that for the safety of our children and youth, anyone volunteering in an area or ministry in which they have regular access to young people (18 and under) will go through an interview process including reference checks, fingerprinting, and a criminal background check.
